WEATHER, SEASONS & CLIMATE:

The chances are the weather will be just fine. The Cayman Islands are pure paradise; but, it can rain. The driest months of the year are in the Spring but it could be wet in the Fall.

 

THE BEACH:

We will be at the only dive resort in Grand Cayman with a beach. There are two beach areas at Compass Point, which are secluded and uncrowded, decorated with coconut palms trees and a hammock or two. Sun loungers are always in place for your enjoyment and comfort. The beach is white sand and the shoreline is rocky with swim and kayak access from three points along the shoreline.

 

ROOM LAYOUTS:

Two bedroom oceanfront condominium: King size bed in all master bedrooms. Depending upon the unit, the second bedroom will either have two twin beds or a queen size.

One bedroom oceanfront condominium: King size bed.

All units offer a full kitchen, living and dining area making this resort your home away from home. All units also have a pull out twin Murphy bed.

 

NON-DIVING ACTIVITIES:

There are lots of non-diving activities around the Eastern Districts. Go for a bike ride, explore the Botanic Park, photograph Blue Iguanas, hike the Mastic Trail, kayak on Bio-Bay at night, venture underground at Crystal Caves, beachcomb and paint your driftwood finds. Visit Rum Point, snorkel coral reefs, and visit the world famous stringrays, or just relax by the beach at one of the swimming pools to unwind. 

 

Complimentary use of the resort's bicycles, kayaks, and paddleboards are included for everyone at the resort.

 

Free Wi-fi is also included throughout the resort.

Dining

Daily breakfast is included in the package and served onsite at Eagle Ray's Bar and Grill from 6:45 am - 9:30 am. The condominiums have full kitchens and there are gas barbeque grills located poolside, if you want to have a cook-out. With the rental cars included in the package, you have the freedom to explore with approximately eight restaurants within a 10-mile radius of the resort.

Transport & Vehicle Rental

Included in the package is 1 rental car per condominium. The size of the vehicle is based upon room occupancy. It can be collected at the Avis office of the airport. Each room is responsible for gas, third party insurance ($12 per day), government vehicle recovery fee ($10.75 per day) and collision damage waiver ($20 per day).

Additional Diving Options

All divers are expected to have a dive computer per diver. Nitrox is available for $110 per week. Nitrox divers will typically be booked on the same boat. There is the possibility of signature dives such as the three-tank safari, multi-color night dive, x-dive, champagne stingrays, or a coral nursery dive.
